An American bald eagle, found in Palm Beach unable to fly, is receiving soft tissue laser treatment, anti-inflammatory medication and other specialized care at South Florida Wildlife Center. This is only the sixth bald eagle treated at SFWC in the last decade. The majestic bird's prognosis is good. He is in good physical condition and is eating well. Although bald eagles are no longer endangered, they are still rarely seen in south Florida, and there are only about 1,500 nesting pairs statewide.
