I’m always talking about needle angle, and teaching people that proper insertion angle is 30 degrees or less. But how do we know what 30 degrees looks like? . If the needle is straight up and down that’s 90 degrees. Cut that angle in half and that’s 45 degrees. 2/3 of that is 30 degrees. . The more superficial the vein is, the shallower your angle of insertion should be. .
