How to set a fence post WITHOUT concrete. I dig down below the frost line which is 4' here. Ad half a bucket of gravel to the bottom of the hole. Then I place the post in the hole, back fill it with the same material that came out. Tamp it down as you go and add water to help compact. My dad and I have done fences like this for years without any issues.
